Granita is a classic Sicilian frozen dessert made from fruit, water and sugar. Hand-scraped during freezing, it has a unique texture that falls somewhere between sorbet and slush, but denser and more flavorful. Served semi-frozen, it’s a staple of Sicilian food culture, often enjoyed for breakfast or as a refreshing treat on hot days.
Its origins date back to Arab rule in Sicily, when snow from Mount Etna was mixed with fruit juices and honey. Over time, that tradition evolved into the granita we know today.
We make ours with just a few real ingredients: fruit, water, a touch of sugar. No flavourings, no shortcuts. Each recipe is refined with care and a deep respect for the craft.
